February 18th, 2019: Mini-Lesson
Draw What You Sing; Sing What You Draw!

Hi Singers!

This week you get a Mini-Lesson…

Watch the video above for your instructions.

This is a great activity to help you embody your voice!

Remember — we are not being literal here! We’re enjoying the feeling of moving our body, arm, hand, and pen or pencil or paint brush, along with our voice — building that kinetic connection. Singing is a whole body sport, right?! This activity also gives you an opportunity to strengthen your connection between the sounds you make with your voice to VISUAL cues. This activity can also help free your voice — giving you the chance to slide, siren, swoop and scoop your voice around in an unselfconscious way. (You can also swell, swish and stagger if you would like.) (Or swizzle, or spring.)

All these things are all good for your singing!

At the end of the week I think it would be fun if you snap a photo of your drawing(s) and shared them in our FB group. Are you in?

Have fun!
Love,
Nancy
